SimpliFocus ("the app") is a focus timer. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. In short: the app keeps your data on your own device and your own iCloud account, and it does not collect personal information or track you.
Information we collect
SimpliFocus does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Your focus session history, settings, daily goal, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
iCloud sync
If you use iCloud, your SimpliFocus data is synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) and is stored in your private iCloud account. The developer cannot access your iCloud data. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; the developer never receives your payment details. The app uses RevenueCat to manage and validate your purchase. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app-user identifier and transaction information from Apple to confirm what you have purchased — it does not receive your name or payment information.
Notifications
The app uses local notifications (for session completion and optional reminders). These are generated and scheduled on your device and are not sent to any server.
Third-party services
The app relies only on Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud) and RevenueCat (purchase management). SimpliFocus contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Data retention and deletion
Your data lives on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account. To delete it, remove the app from your device and/or delete the app's data from your iCloud settings.
Children
SimpliFocus is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
